The Council is pleased to be part of the Birth to Five Policy Alliance, a group of 11 organizations committed to shifting the odds for vulnerable children and their families. With generous support from the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and an anonymous foundation, the members of the Alliance are working to ensure that more at-risk infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families have access to comprehensive early childhood development services that promote early success and school readiness. The Alliance promotes improved bi-partisan public policies nationally and in several states, including: Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Washington, Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado.
